RYA VHF marine radio certificate
The Short Range Certificate is the minimum qualification required by Law, for legal operation of a VHF Marine Radio and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment, on any British Flagged Vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio. This includes both Fixed and Handheld equipment, using International Channels.
After the training course has finished you will sit a small exam with an RYA SRC examiner who on successful completion will allow the RYA to issue your certificate.
Please remember to pay your £70 exam fee directly to the RYA before your course start date. A link for this payment will be sent in your joining instructions.
